Is this 9-1-1 Academy online course customizable?
Yes, every one of the ten unit lessons allow for ‘unpublish’ or ‘add a lesson’. For NECC Certification, all ten units must be covered, and the 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Manual must be read. NECC is optional; the course can be taught with another certification.
Can I teach this course in the classroom instead of online?
Yes as the units can also be customized to work in the classroom or a hybrid online and classroom.
Are there lessons on job search at 9-1-1?
There is a unit on job search that explains the common Critical job exam and links to current jobs. About the 9-1-1 job interview and desired qualities.
Is the $249 the only charge for student seats?
Yes, this covers the entire course, the embedded textbook and the NECC final exam fee. The 9-1-1 Ai is an additional charge per student.
Can we order hardcopy books and get a reduced price?
Yes and no. Yes, you can order classroom copies, however the online units are updated and kept current. Hardcopy books can get outdated.
Is there a minimum number of seats we must purchase?
Yes, three is the minimum seats.
Are there charges for the Teachable platform?
No, we create your course for the number of students you purchase.
Once I order the student seats, do I enroll the students?
Yes, you have a video on how to send an invite. You can assign a password of the student can make their own.
Does your company keep records of our students quizzes of final exam score?
No, we honor privacy rules for student. All records, scores must be kept by the teacher or instructor. We are advised if the student passes the NECC final exam or not. The student must download their certificate provided once they receive a passing score.
Do you add new material to the course or is it the same course every year.
We do continually monitor 9-1-1. If we find something wonderful to share or add, or some important information or call comes out – we send it directly to our teachers who are currently teaching.
